Celebrate, honor and connect through campus gatherings that bring us together

November 03, 2025

FGCU invites employees to come together in celebration and appreciation through meaningful campus gatherings that foster connection and community spirit.

November 10 | Witness the 13 Folds

FGCU and the community are invited to experience a meaningful part of military culture and to recognize the contributions of FGCU’s military-connected students, faculty and families. The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. at the Library Lawn and will feature a color guard presenting the American flag and performing the symbolic folding of the flag, a powerful tradition that reflects the values and history of military service. More information can be found on Eagle Link.

Rows of small American flags are placed in green grass at the library lawn under a partly cloudy sky. Trees and a building with a green roof can be seen in the background.

November 20 | Thanksgiving Feast

Celebrate the season with a fall feast from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at SoVi Dining. For $7, employees can enjoy a spread of all the Thanksgiving favorites, plus a pie bar and other fall goodies. Connect with the campus community and share in the spirit of gratitude with fellow faculty and staff. Visit Dining Services for details.

FGCU faculty and staff are at Sovi Dining, eating lunch on long wooden tables with white tablecloths and burlaps fabric on top. Yellow flowerpots, food, and drinks are on the tables.
