Show Your Eagle Spirit During Homecoming Week
February 09, 2026
Homecoming Week is February 16-22, and it provides an opportunity for us to come together as colleagues, celebrate our Eagle pride and strengthen the sense of connection that makes FGCU a great place to work and learn. Here’s how you can get involved:
Decorate Your Office with Homecoming Spirit | Offices and departments are invited to participate in the annual Homecoming Spirit Competition by decorating their spaces with FGCU pride. Visit Eagle Link to view competition rules and to submit your application. The first 20 offices to apply will receive a decoration starter kit. The form is open from Feb. 9-13, and the decorating contest runs Feb. 16-20.
Spruce Up Your Eagle Gear | Need new FGCU gear to wear during Homecoming? Drop by the FGCU Bookstore and take advantage of the 25% off employee discount or visit the online store.

Attend the Free Homecoming Drone Show | All employees and their families are invited to attend FGCU’s Friday Night Lights Drone Show February 20 on the Library Lawn.
The event starts at 7 p.m. and the drone show is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Bring your own chair or blanket. Food will be available for purchase at food trucks.
Plan ahead, as the following sidewalk and roadway closures will be in effect to support the drone show and public safety:
- The sidewalk from Recreation Field 1 to the South Village Boardwalk entrance will
be closed from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Pedestrians will still be able to access the boardwalk
via the Bower School of Music & the Arts entrance.
- The roadway from the intersection at FGCU Boulevard South and FGCU South Bridge Loop Road, going east to the traffic lights near the Cohen Student Union, will be closed from 7:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
