FGCU military veterans honored for their service

FGCU staff and student leaders were among those recognized during the Lee County Honors 250 ceremony leading up to America’s 250th anniversary. The event honored 250 local military members and veterans in Lee County, as well as 250 years of service and sacrifice by the U.S. Armed Forces.
At the ceremony, Lt. Gov. Hay Collins and Fort Myers Mayor Kevin Anderson presented a certificate and gold medallion to Dr. Joseph Buhain, director of interprofessional simulation and emerging technology, and Student Veterans of America FGCU chapter leaders Lauren Rodriguez and Anthony St. Louis.
