Join the Heart Walk at FGCU

On Nov. 15, the American Heart Association is hosting the 2025 Lee County Heart Walk at FGCU for the very first time. The heart walk is an annual event that unites the community to get active and raise funds and awareness for the fight against heart disease and stroke.

Festivities begin at 8 a.m. at the Library Lawn. The FGCU community is invited to come out, walk and show their support. 

Chairing the Lee County Heart Walk this year is Dr. Shawn Felton, dean of Marieb College of Health & Human Services.

Felton’s involvement with the Lee County Heart Walk’s executive leadership team and Marieb’s long-standing partnership with the American Heart Association reflects the college’s continued commitment to serving and supporting the needs of the region.
