Save the dates for FGCU’s “Provost’s Seminar Series”

The Provost’s Seminar Series kicked off the spring semester with “The Origins of Rock and Roll” led by Dr. Clay Motley, dean of the College of Arts & Sciences.

This series brings world-class scholars to the FGCU community and supports the university's strategic goal to innovate in academic excellence and elevate partnerships for regional impact.  

Check out the upcoming seminars for the spring 2025 semester (all events are from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Academic Building 9, Room 106):  

  • Feb. 13: “Bargaining with the Devil” - Robert Mnookin, LL.B. 
  • Feb. 27: “Minority Rights” - Andrew Ballard, Ph.D. 
  • March 13: “The Global South in the 21st Century” - Andrew Rosenberg, Ph.D. 
  • March 27: “The Future of Space Exploration” - Edward Grace, MSEE 
  • April 10: “Getting to Know the World Around You” featuring Jerome Jackson, Ph.D., and Nick Penniman
