Mangrove Review is a university sponsored, student-run literary journal featuring poetry, narratives (both fiction and creative non-fiction), and artwork. We accept submissions from students, alumni, FGCU faculty and staff, and the greater FGCU community.
Submission Guidelines:
Submissions must be previously unpublished. Please do not put your name on any manuscript or in the file name. Instead, include your name, contact information, and a short third-person bio in the accompanying email.
Poetry: Submit no more than five poems per reading period. Submit each poem as separate Word document with title of poem as file name.
Prose: Submit up to four narratives, but no more than 10 total pages (3,000 words) typed and double-spaced with 1-inch margins. Submit each narrative as separate Word document with title of piece as file name.
Art: All artwork must be submitted as a high-resolution JPEG image, with the title of the artwork as file name. We will consider no more than five images by any one artist per reading period.
Open submission period: Submissions accepted September 1 through November 30; the journal is published annually in the spring.
Submit your materials to mangrovereview@fgcu.edu. We accept submissions in multiple categories.
Students interested in publishing their academic research and other scholarly projects should consult Aquila, FGCU’s student research journal.
