Supporting the largest non-governmental serial murderer database in the world
Gathering serial killer data since 1992
The database contains 5630 subjects, comprising of serial killers, mass murderers, spree killers and more. The database has over 14,773 victim profiles and over 500 documents. There are over 185 variables per subject, including background information, victim preference, victim treatment and information about the crimes committed.Radford and FGCU work in conjunction with other Universities to maintain and expand the scope of the database to also include spree killers and mass murderers. Utilizing over 185 data points, multiple-murderer methodology, victimology and statistical analysis; researchers and Law Enforcement Agencies can build case studies and statistical profiles to further research the details of these crimes.
Membership for the Radford/FGCU Serial Killer Database project is exclusively available for recognized academic research. Applicants must provide credentials from an accredited university or a law enforcement agency and state what reason they have to access the Database. Membership is free of charge.
