Eagle Explorer Programs

The application process for this program is three stages.

1. Students must apply by completing the Eagle Explorer Application.

2. Students will go through an interview stage. This step is not guaranteed to all applicants. Each application will be evaluated by committee on a first come, first served basis.

3. Approved students will then apply to the University of Pécs Freshman Spring Program. Response times after submission will vary.

Interviews will be scheduled on a rolling basis.

FGCU Application Requirements:

All applicants should review the University of Pécs course offerings and list ten courses they are interested in taking. Students are encouraged to select at least one course connected to Hungarian culture, history, society, or global studies.

Eagle Explorer Application

All students attending this program will apply for student housing through the University of Pécs.

Students can expect apartment style or residence hall living with shared kitchens, common spaces, and furnished rooms. Housing placements vary based on availability and student preferences.

Estimated Spring 2027 Housing Rates:

University Residence Hall- Shared Room: 

Approx. €1,200–€1,800 per semester

Private Apartment- Shared Apartment

Approx. €2,000–€3,000 per semester

FGCU Application Requirements:

All applicants will need to review the University of Limerick Module Booklet and list ten courses that they are interested in taking. Students must select at least one first or second year course that is related to Irish culture, language, or history.

Eagle Explorer Application

All students attending this program will need to apply for on-campus housing at the University of Limerick.

Housing units comprise single rooms with shared living spaces and kitchens. Students may apply for housing with an ensuite, which includes a private bathroom, or without an ensuite, which includes a shared bathroom.

Housing options range from larger shared apartments and houses to smaller apartment style communities. Estimated Spring 2027 housing costs range from approximately €2,672 to €3,899 per semester depending on housing style and room type.

On-campus with ensuite (private bathroom): Dromroe Village, Cappavilla Village, Thomond Village, Troy Village

On-campus without ensuite (shared bathroom): Plassey Village, Kilmurry Village

Students can explore all housing options and living communities through the University of Limerick International Student Housing website.
