Serving the FGCU Campus Community

The ROCK Center proudly supports Florida Gulf Coast University’s strategic goal to strengthen organizational culture through compassion and meaningful connections on campus.

We offer workshops and presentations for departments and student groups on topics such as mindfulness, compassion, emotional awareness, productive conflict management, work–life balance, and other relevant topics.

We also host a variety of campus events throughout the year — check out our calendar or Eagle Link to stay up-to-date. Past and ongoing events include Kindfulness Program–supported projects like Storytelling as Healing, the Junie B. Jones: Batman Smells holiday show, our annual World Kindness Day celebrations, Eagles Around the World, and more.

You’re also welcome to join Compassionate Caregivers, a recurring support group for FGCU community members who support loved ones while managing their own well-being. The group was created in response to many on our campus expressing the challenges of balancing caregiving, shifting family dynamics, and personal care — offering a compassionate space to connect and find support. Register here.

We offer a Kindfulness Program, to anyone on campus, that provides reimbursement funding for students, faculty, and staff who want to bring kindness-centered and community-building ideas to life. Be sure to review the guidelines and application instructions before applying.
