The Center for Supply Chain Excellence (CSCE) seeks to achieve excellence in supply chain management through high-quality leading-edge educational programs and outreach activities in partnership with industry.

The CSCE is committed to bringing together professionals in the supply chain management with LCOB faculty and students to facilitate knowledge partnerships and to develop and disseminate best practices in supply chain management. The CSCE will facilitate the education and development of students to become future leaders in supply chain management, as well as offer certification and educational programs for industry professionals.

Billion Dollar Behaviors: Navigating Project Management’s Human Element

Matthew J. Morris is an industry recognized subject matter expert in project controls and earned value management systems. Early in his career he managed the $2.7B Capital Improvements Program for the District of Columbia and was an adjunct professor teaching the capstone course (M290) for the George Washington University’s Masters in Program Management curriculum. As a senior leader at IBM, Mr. Morris developed and implemented IBM Federal’s capture and proposal management process. He managed some of IBM Federal’s largest government contracts including the CMS Healthcare General Ledger and Accounting System (HIGLAS). Mr. Morris was the President and CEO of Project and Program Management Solutions, International (PPMS) for 14 years. During this time, he developed and implemented the Federal government’s first cabinet-level agency EVMS at the Office of Personnel Management. During the span of his career, he’s contributed to the ANSI/EIA 748 Standard for Earned Value Management, the GAO Cost Estimating and Assessment Guide, and GAO Schedule Assessment Guide. Mr. Morris has lectured internationally including India, China, and Europe. He recently left an executive level position with General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) leading their corporate program management and scheduling group to take a position as the Chief Operating Officer at Cassidy Consulting Group. He is married to Adrienne Morris; they have two adult children and live in Naples, FL.
