Summary
- The Southwest Florida issued 1,079 single-family building permits in October 2025, a 26.9 percent drop from October 2024 and 4.6 percent below September 2025.
- Lee County issued 787 permits in October 2025, down 16.8 percent from the previous year but a 0.5 percent increase from the prior month.
- In Collier County, 78 permits were issued in October 2025, down 61.0 percent from October 2024 and 50.6 percent below September 2025.
- Charlotte County recorded 176 permits issued in October 2025, dipping 36.5 percent from October 2024 but 12.1 percent over September 2025.
- Hendry County issued 33 single-family building permits in October 2025, down 29.8 percent from October 2024 but unchanged from September 2025.
- Glades County reported 5 single-family building permits issued in October 2025, in contrast to last month when no permits were issued.
About the Data
Single-family building permits data is collected from the U.S. Census Bureau Building Permit Survey and supplemented with data collected from local building and zoning departments in Southwest Florida. All data is updated on a monthly basis.
