Summary
- The Southwest Florida issued 911 single-family building permits in December 2025, a 20.7 percent drop from December 2024 but 15.0 percent above November 2025.
- Lee County issued 503 permits in December 2025, down 27.7 percent from the previous year and 8.2 percent below the prior month.
- In Collier County, 157 permits were issued in December 2025, down 20.7 percent from December 2024 but 101.3 percent above November 2025.
- Charlotte County recorded 215 permits issued in December 2025, rising 9.1 percent from December 2024 and 46.3 percent over November 2025.
- Hendry County issued 32 single-family building permits in December 2025, down 34.7 percent from December 2024 but up 113.3 percent from November 2025.
- Glades County reported 4 single-family building permits issued in December 2025, unchanged from last month.
About the Data
Single-family building permits data is collected from the U.S. Census Bureau Building Permit Survey and supplemented with data collected from local building and zoning departments in Southwest Florida. All data is updated on a monthly basis.
