If you're a student in the U.A. Whitaker College of Engineering, your advisor is assigned based on your last name:

If you're ever unsure who your advisor is, just check the top section of your Degree Works audit—their name will be listed there.

Are you a first-year student?

If you're starting your first semester after high school, you'll begin with the Exploratory Advising team—not the WCE Advising Office. You'll stay with Exploratory Advising until you meet all of the following:

Earn 24 college credits
Complete MAC 1105 with a grade of C or better
Maintain a 2.0 GPA.

Not a WCE student?

If you're in a different college or school, please contact the advising center for your specific college or school.

Destination FGCU Advising

If you're current earning your AA degree at Florida SouthWestern State College and plan to transfer to FGCU, you're encouraged to explore the Destination FGCU program! This program is designed to support your transfer journey and help you prepare for success at FGCU.

What's in it for you?

Once you've completed 30 credit hours at FSW, you'll be eligible to meet with U.A. Whitaker College of Engineering Advisors. These are 30-minute virtual advising appointments, held on the first Friday of each month from 1:00 - 3:00 PM.
