What Your Holds Mean

Not sure what a hold on your account means? Holds are used by FGCU offices to alert students when additional information, action, or follow-up is needed. Reviewing and resolving holds promptly can help prevent delays with registration and other university services.

How to Check Your Holds

You can view any active holds through your student profile in Gulfline.

  1. Log in to Gulfline.
  2. Navigate to Student Records and select View My Student Profile.
  3. Locate the holds section on your profile
    • On a mobile device, the Holds button appears directly below your name
    • On a computer, the Holds button appears near the upper-right corner of the page.
  4. Select the Holds button to expand the section and view details about your active holds.

Access Gulfline

Reviewing your holds regularly can help you identify potential registration barriers and address issues before they affect registration, schedule changes, or other university services.
