Be part of Eagle X’s biggest year yet!

February 02, 2026

Eagle X is FGCU’s largest annual showcase featuring the most highly regarded student projects across four areas: internships, leadership, research and service-learning. Eagle X grew nearly 30% in 2024-25, drawing in over 900 attendees, including students, faculty, staff, community partners and supporters. You can help Eagle X surpass its goal of 1,000-plus attendees this year and celebrate student success.

A large crowd fills Alico Arena for a research showcase, with rows of poster boards displayed across the floor. Students, faculty and visitors walk among the exhibits, discussing projects and presenting their work. A blue FGCU banner hangs in the background.

There are many ways faculty and staff can get involved with Eagle X:

Faculty can incorporate Eagle X into their syllabus, design a class project around the showcase, mentor participating students, assign students to present as a course requirement or attend with students and connect the experience to course objectives.

Faculty and staff can serve as judges to help select award-winning projects that honor innovation, discovery, creativity and rigor. If you are interested in serving, contact Dr. Megan Norcia at mnorcia@fgcu.edu.

If you are unable to get involved, you can still make an impact by showing up and celebrating students’ hard work. Stop by Eagle X from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 17 to witness collaboration and the work students and colleagues have accomplished together. For more information, visit www.fgcu.edu/eaglex.
