Take a moment to recharge at The Nesting Place

Feeling overwhelmed on campus? Discover FGCU's hidden gem: The Nesting Place. The Nesting Place was developed to provide a peaceful retreat on campus for students, staff and faculty. In its first year, The Nesting Place welcomed visitors ranging from students needing a quiet study space to groups seeking a calm meeting environment. This space, equipped with features like soft lighting and comfortable seating, can aid in stress reduction, improve focus and concentration, support emotional regulation, foster mindfulness, increase creativity and enhance overall well-being.  

Students, staff and faculty can book time in The Nesting Place, located inside Modular 2, at fgcu.edu/mariebcollege/giddi/thenestingplace 

 A room with a cozy seating area. There is a sectional sofa with dark cushions and pillows.  On the wall above the sofa, there are hexagonal decorative panels in shades of blue and green. The ceiling has green lighting effects that create an ambient atmosphere. In front of the sofa, there is a wooden coffee table with a fan-shaped light. To the right of the sofa, there is a small round side table holding a lava lamp, business cards, a bottle of hand sanitizer, and other items. The floor is carpeted in neutral tones.
