ASL Lessons at FGCU GIDDI
Why offer free ASL classes?
The FGCU Golisano Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Initiative (GIDDI)
is dedicated to creating a campus that invites individuals with intellectual and developmental
disabilities to thrive and developing graduates who advocate for individuals with
intellectual and developmental disabilities.
These ASL classes are offered free to all university students, faculty, and staff
at the FGCU GIDDI Modular. These ASL classes are often taught by FGCU GIDDI interns
and/or FGCU GIDDI ambassadors and offer a welcoming environment for everyone to learn
a new way to communicate.
