Eagle X: Curiosity and Collaboration to Showcase Our Commitment to the Campus Community

FGCU’s largest-ever Eagle X showcased over four hundred student presenters and welcomed one thousand three hundred attendees—a 40% increase from last year.
Nearly three hundred mentors guided students through all stages of the research process helping them develop transferable skills. Over one hundred fifty judges—on-campus and community partners—celebrated forty-two student award winners.
Eagle X embodies FGCU’s values, fostering an academic climate that hatches big ideas, serves the community, and sustains high-impact learning experiences.
This year's innovations included the Staff Advisory Council’s “Look and Find” challenge, a scavenger hunt for students, and a concerted effort to welcome the community through the participation of local high school students organized through TRIO's September Gant; Board of Trustees members; donors who enjoyed the President's Breakfast; and the Distinguished Alumni Panel, who showed their Eagle pride.

This event’s success is the result of dozens of colleagues representing departments and areas across the university community. From FGCU’s community engagement, internships, leadership, and research offices, Faculty Senate, Athletics, University Marketing, to faculty representatives from each college serving on the Grants and Research team, Eagle X is an example of FGCU’s curiosity in motion across the community.
