Office of Research & Graduate Studies (ORGS)
Whether studying the effects of water quality on our precious Florida resources and landscape or surveying the spread of infectious diseases via mosquitos, the research conducted by FGCU faculty, students, and staff contributes to the intellectual discussion of the academic community, impacts the local community, shapes policy within the state of Florida, sets trends on the national landscape, and starts dialogues all over the world. We strongly recommend that all graduate and undergraduate students take part in research and scholarly/creative works under the mentorship of our faculty.
The FGCU Office of Research & Sponsored Programs reviews and submits research, training, and community service proposals, and accepts externally funded awards on behalf of the university. The office also negotiates contracts and sub-awards, oversees awards, and coordinates the university's research compliance committees and export controls program.
