Global Learning Grant Program

The Global Learning Grant Program provides up to $1000.00 to pay for tuition and fees for students in programs affiliated with the Office of Global Initiatives and International Services (OGIIS), provided they meet the eligibility requirements. The award is to be used in the semester indicated in the application and may not be deferred for future use. The award is intended for students with demonstrable need. Students with greater unmet need in their financial aid budgets will receive preference in the awarding and dispersal of this grant.

International Students:

  • Must be currently enrolled and in good academic standing in an undergraduate degree program at Florida Gulf Coast University and provide evidence of satisfactory academic progress (SAP) for at least two semesters prior to the use of the award.
  • Applicants must be on F1, F2 or H1-B visas. Short-term, exchange students on J visas are not eligible for this program.
  • Must provide statement explaining how the funds will be used and why the funds are necessary for your global learning activities.

Domestic Students:

  • Must be currently enrolled and in good academic standing in an undergraduate degree program at Florida Gulf Coast University and provide evidence of satisfactory academic progress (SAP) for at least two semesters prior to use of the award.
  • Provide evidence that you have enrolled in an FGCU sponsored Faculty Led Study Abroad Program or that you have been enrolled in an FGCU sponsored exchange program.
  • Must provide statement explaining how the funds will be used and why the funds are necessary for your global learning activities.
