ABOUT US

The Art Galleries are located in south Fort Myers, FL on the main campus of 
Florida Gulf Coast University.

Since opening in 1998, the FGCU Art Galleries have curated exhibitions and events designed to promote contemporary art experiences for the region. We offer exhibitions from professional and noteworthy artists working in painting, sculpture, photography, installation, performance, and video art. Additionally, we offer three student-based exhibitions annually. 

Art Galleries Hours During Exhibitions

Monday - Friday 10a.m. to 4p.m.  

Closed on the weekends
Closed on University and Federal Holidays

Getting between the Wasmer Art Gallery (Arts Complex) and the ArtLab Gallery 




The ArtLab is located on the West side of FGCU’s Library Building. It is accessed through the same double doors as the Center for Academic Achievement. The Wasmer Art Gallery is located within the Arts Complex.

• The Wasmer Art Gallery is located within the Arts Complex.
• The ArtLab Gallery and the Reference Gallery are located on the west end of the FGCU Library.

WASMER ART GALLERY

The Wasmer Art Gallery reflects a generous donation made by the Wasmer Family in honor of their mother, Mary. The Wasmer Family’s generous donation to the Visual Arts program and Art Gallery will have a profound impact on Florida Gulf Coast University students and the cultural enrichment of Southwest Florida. The FGCU community is grateful to Mary Manning Wasmer and the Wasmer family for their leadership and support.
