Between Creation & Concrete: Collaborative Window Installation by Breah Fyffe and Marcela Pulgarin
Location: Arts Complex Lobby Windows
Dates: August 2026 – July 2027
Between Creation & Concrete is a collaborative window installation that merges natural imagery with organic, playful motifs. Inspired by forms found throughout Florida’s ecosystems, the work uses freehand drawing and vinyl to evoke themes of connection, growth, and coexistence. The project grows out of an ongoing effort to develop innovative, bird-safe window solutions at FGCU.
Breah Fyffe (‘22, Art) is an FGCU alumna and Art Assistant at Moorings Park, where she leads projects for a diverse community of learners. Her practice spans painting, drawing, ceramics, and printmaking, informed by a broader engagement with music, martial arts, and gardening.
Marcela Pulgarin (‘22, Art) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Southwest Florida and an FGCU alumna. Her work explores the relationship between material and self through interpretations of natural forms, using line, pattern, and subtle variation to create tactile, contemplative compositions.
Sponsored by the FGCU Alumni Association, Gene and Lee Seidler, the Wasmer Endowment, and WGCU Public Media.
