Lynn Davison: Nothing Matters Very Much & Very Few Things Matter At All

Lynn Davison, an acclaimed figurative painter, composes complex visual narratives that uncover the range of human emotions. Working across a variety of media, including traditional oil and digital painting, her style encompasses hyperrealist, expressive, and visceral figurativism. Even when the human figure is not present in her paintings, the objects, as well as the negative spaces, take on figurative relationships with each other. This exhibition provides the opportunity for viewers to see these narratives side by side in Davison’s figurative and still life paintings. Davison has also continued to push the boundaries of her digital paintings with access to the FGCU Art Galleries’ digital imaging resources. The exhibition will contain Davison’s digital and mixed media works as well, offering an expansive view into her studio practice.
