Farrah Alkhadra (‘21 Art) creates two mixed media murals for display at the end of the Arts Complex Courtyard. This is the third year that alumni from the program have been commissioned to create public pieces as part of this project.

The murals include bright, saturated colors and geometric components projecting from the surface. The pieces are a continuation of Senior Project investigations that were inspired by forms, materials, and color theory. Working primarily as a 3D sculptor, Alkhadra combines her signature steel forms with mixed media installation for this project.

Sponsored by Gene and Lee Seidler, the Wasmer Endowment, WGCU Public Media, and the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Arts and Culture, the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
