Prints from Littleton Studios

Wasmer Art Gallery
December 7, 2020 - March 4, 2021

The FGCU Art Galleries’ collection of vitreograph prints from Littleton Studios continues to grow with the continued generous donations of prints from Carol L. Shay. This will be a revolving display of prints throughout the exhibition dates. These prints come out of a process originated by renowned glass artist Harvey Littleton. Littleton invited artists to his studios in Spruce Pine, North Carolina to work using this unique printmaking process of printing from glass plates. The most recent gift includes prints from accomplished international artists such as Glen Alps, Walter Darby Bannard, Erwin Eisch, Harvey Littleton, Hollis Sigler and Ann Wolff.

Sponsored by Gene and Lee Seidler and the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs and the Florida Council on Arts and Culture and WGCU Public Media
