My research primarily focuses on school mental health. I am especially interested in the teacher's role regarding the mental health of the students and self. Since I arrived, my goal has been to better prepare our pre-service teachers for today's classrooms regarding mental health. We started off by creating an annual community Children's Mental Health Conference that went on for ten years. Since then, we have brought the education and training directly to our students at various points throughout their programs.
