As part of Human Resources, the FGCU employee development team is dedicated to fostering a culture of continuous learning, professional growth and employee success across the university. Its purpose is to equip employees with the knowledge, skills and resources they need to thrive in their roles while contributing to the broader mission of FGCU. Whether you are onboarding into a new position, developing leadership skills or exploring new areas of interest, the team is ready to help.
Services provided:
A variety of learning and development opportunities designed to meet the various needs of FGCU’s community, including:
- Instructor-led trainings and workshops on topics such as leadership, communication, compliance and workplace skills
- On-demand learning through Workday Learning and LinkedIn Learning
- Customized training consultations for departments and teams
- Professional development programs and learning campaigns
- Support with career growth, skill-building and goal setting
Services are available to all FGCU employees, including student employees, ensuring everyone has access to meaningful development opportunities.

Be on the lookout for several new initiatives that are designed to support employees at every stage of their development including:
- Supervisor training cohorts (series of six training sessions) starting in July and October, focused on building foundational leadership skills, navigating employee relations and strengthening supervisory confidence
- Launch of a scalable employee development initiative aimed at strengthening connections, shared learning and career pathways across the university
