Support the FGCU Campus Food Pantry at SAC’s Oct. 29 food drive

The Staff Advisory Council (SAC) invites all employees to its “Give a Treat, Get a Treat” food drive in benefit of the FGCU Campus Food Pantry. The food drive takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Library Lawn.

Last year, SAC collected 416 pounds of food and $195 in donations.

If you are interested in donating, below is a list of items needed most:

Canned protein: chicken, Vienna sausages, salmon, tuna

Canned vegetables: lentils, asparagus, chili beans, chickpeas, red beans, pinto beans and navy beans

Canned fruit & fruit cups: pineapple, pears, mandarins, applesauce, peaches

Cereals of all kinds

Corn

Gluten-free items

Granola bars

Hearty soups

Mac & cheese

Pasta noodles

Pasta sauces

Tomato paste
