Explore the latest technology at FGCU’s library

August 18, 2025

At the Wilson G. Bradshaw Library, employees have access to many resources, including new technology. The Data Visualization Wall, media production studio and the Makerspace are just a few of the tools offered that support creativity, innovation and professional development.

Data Visualization Wall: Collaborate, practice or host a presentation/workshop in a more immersive way through the Data Visualization Wall. The wall is run on Haivision's Video Wall software, enabaling for advanced customization.

In the background, a desk holds a computer monitor, audio equipment and cables. The room includes carpeted flooring and acoustic panels on the walls. Use the audio studio to record a podcast or create audio narration

Media Production Studio: Create a video or record audio at the library’s three studio spaces dedicated to creating high quality, semiprofessional audio and video content. These include an audio production studio, video production studio and the One Button Studio. The One Button Studio is a simplified video recording setup that can be used without any previous production experience. Its purpose is to meet the needs of users who may be intimidated by large-scale technology.

The wall displays the text 'ONE BUTTON STUDIO' accompanied by a red button graphic. Pre-record a lecture or create demonstration modules with the One Button Studio

Makerspace: This space is equipped with 3D printers, a 3D scanner, a milling machine, a Cricut Maker and other machines that are available for independent use and the creation of scholarly and fun projects. The Makerspace is also available for project consultations.

The Data Visualization Wall, Makerspace, audio studio and video studio require users to go through orientation before reserving the space. Visit fgcu.libcal.com/appointments to book an orientation appointment with Matthew Losey, coordinator in the Creative Commons Lab. For more information on these resources, visit library.fgcu.edu/tech.
