Recruitment Events

Career Development Services offers a range of career fairs to fit every student's need. Our in-person, on-campus events give you the opportunity to meet and network with well known companies throughout the Southwest Florida region and beyond. All of the events in the section will also satisfy the Career Event requirement for the Soar in 4 program.

Teacher Recruitment Fair Mar. 27 9:00 AM– 11:00 AM Cohen Student Union Ballroom This event brings to campus over 40 public and private schools and organizations seeking to hire FGCU students or alumni into teaching positions. Statewide Job Fair May 16 9AM-3PM Virtual Meet employers recruiting students and alumni for full-time and part-time professional opportunities. Open to all students and alumni from Florida's 12 public universities.

StartSmart Salary Negotiation Workshop

StartSmart Workshop | Closing the Gender Pay Gap is sponsored by the American Association of University Women. This is a 90-minute interactive workshop designed to give students the tools to better negotiate their salary when entering the professional work force.
Join us and enjoy complimentary pizza, receive a certificate for a complimentary interview outfit from Dress for Success.

Etiquette Dinner

5:00 - 7:30 PM Hilton Garden Inn Fort Myers Airport FGCU

Sponsored by Enterprise Holdings, this event leads students through the proper etiquette to use when engaging in a formal business or interview dinner. Students will also have an opportunity to practice their networking skills while enjoying a free meal. Students must register at 239-590-7946 or email careercenter@fgcu.edu in advance. 

JCPenney Suit-Up Event

April 7

2pm-5pm JCPenney - Edison Mall Fort Myers

The Suit-Up Event is a collaborative event with JCPenny and FGCU to provide students, faculty and staff a special shopping event, in store or online, for select career wear with exclusive discounts not available to the public.
