Goals

  • Support rigorous, critical, accessible, high-impact research on race and ethnicity
  • Provide high-quality, racial equity-enhancing programming for Florida Gulf Coast University and the Southwest Florida region
  • Provide opportunities for mission-centered, collaborative faculty-student research
  • Contribute to the recruitment and retention of faculty and students of color
  • Serve as a resource for local communities and organizations in 1) identifying racially inequitable policies and practices and, 2) designing and implementing policies and practices that are racially equitable
  • Provide opportunities for faculty affiliates and students to present their research
