Become an AI Teaching Fellow

Are you passionate about teaching AI? We invite faculty, professionals, and community experts to propose trainings, workshops, and other educational offerings through the FGCU AI Virtual Academy. By joining our community of AI Teaching Fellows, you will help shape the next generation of learners, expand FGCU's educational impact, and collaborate with peers committed to advancing AI literacy and skills.

Fellows are appointed for a one-year renewable term and design and/or teach at least one program per year. Programs are reviewed and validated by the Dendritic Institute's leadership.

• Who can enroll?

  Programs are open to FGCU students, faculty, staff, professionals, and community members unless otherwise specified in the course description.

• Do I need prior AI or coding experience?

  Not for Basic and most Intermediate courses. The Machine Learning with AI program is Advanced and does assume prior data or coding background. If you are unsure, contact us and we will help you choose a starting point.

• How are programs delivered?

  Programs are delivered online through the Virtual Academy. Selected content is openly available; credential-bearing programs are delivered through FGCU's learning platform with assessed work and instructor support.

• Is there a cost?

• What do I need to become an AI Teaching Fellow at FGCU AI Academy?

  You need to have provable expertise (knowledge and skills) in the topic(s) you want to teach and a passion for teaching. We welcome the FGCU community, industry professionals, and community experts who can design and deliver high-quality trainings, or workshops.
