Now that you are an Eagle, review each section below to get off to a flying start.
The first step after acceptance is to claim your Eagle Access account. This will allow you access to FGCU accounts necessary to complete your next steps
and to achieve success as an FGCU Eagle. After claiming your account you will have
access to:
MyFGCU, a central student portal that allows you to navigate FGCU systems (further explained
below) in a single convenient location.
Gulfline, which enables you to pay your admissions deposit, view unofficial transcript (to
see how courses transferred), view your personal records and financial aid status,
and complete student-related tasks such as registering for University Housing.
FGCU Eagle Mail is your student email. Please note: University offices, including faculty/staff,
will be sending important information to this address and may not respond to communication
from personal email accounts. It is your responsibility to routinely monitor and manage
your EagleMail.
Degree Works is an advising and degree-planning tool. View how your courses transferred in an
easy-to-read report (degree audit).
To claim your account, you'll need the following information. Please make sure to
enter this information as it appears on your admittance email.

Please complete all of the steps to claim your account before exiting. If you do not
complete all of the steps then you will need to contact the University Help Desk to
have account claiming reset on your account.
What if I need help?
The University Help Desk is available to assist you with questions or concerns. You
may reach the Help Desk at 239-590-1188 or helpdesk@fgcu.edu.
In order to accept your offer of admission, you must submit a $200 non-refundable
deposit. In Gulfline, select the "Pay Admissions Deposit" tab. Once you submit your deposit, we will hold
a seat for you and you will move forward in the new student process.
Deposit Deadlines
Fall - July 7
Spring - December 1
Summer - May 1
The admissions deposit is applicable to the term for which the student has been admitted
and is non-refundable. The deposit will be forfeited if the student does not enroll
in the deposited term. If a request to change terms is made after classes for the
original term of admission have begun, a deposit for the new term must be paid.
All new students must attend Eagle View Orientation (EVO). During orientation you will meet with your advisor, register for classes, and be
introduced to many FGCU resources and services to help you be successful following
your transfer. Within 2 days of paying your deposit you should receive an email containing
instructions on how to register. Please note that messages for summer and fall are
sent starting in February and October for the spring semester.
Register for EVO as soon as you can in order to have the best selection of courses.
All students must establish residency as a Florida Resident or non-Florida resident
for tuition purposes. New students are considered non-Florida residents until proper documentation is received.
Non-Florida residents also need to complete this process. Completing residency is
essential for correct tuition billing, financial aid awarding, and merit scholarship
eligibility. Log into your Future Eagle account to complete the residency form. Click the View link next to your submitted application to view your list of supplemental items then
complete the Florida Residency for Tuition Purposes Form.
