• The Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, FL CPI increased by 3.7 percent from March 2023 to March 2024, while the US South Region had a 3.8 percent increase over the same period. CPI for the nation increased by 3.5 percent in March 2024 compared to March 2023.
• Other Goods and Services outpaced the rest of the components in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater region, increasing by 8.2 percent from March 2023 to March 2024. The region also had modest increases in prices for both medical care (6.4 percent increase in March 2024 over March 2023) and housing (5.2 percent increase over the same period).
