Resort and Hospitality Administration (B.S.)
The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Resort and Hospitality Administration (RHA) is a business-focused program that equips students with a strong foundation in essential business disciplines. RHA students complete both the Business Common Prerequisites and the Business Common Core curriculum, gaining knowledge in accounting, finance, economics, management, and related areas. The relevant business grounding makes the RHA degree an excellent fit for students interested in developing data-driven decision-making skills and pursuing careers in revenue management, marketing, strategic planning, and other analytical roles within the hospitality industry.
- Offers specialized concentrations in Event Management, Club Management, Food & Beverage Management, or Resort & Lodging Management.
- Students complete one 500-hour internship.
Hospitality & Tourism Management (B.S.)
The Hospitality & Tourism Management (HTM) program is designed with a dedicated focus on the hospitality industry. It emphasizes industry-specific knowledge and real-world applications that prepare students for careers across all sectors of hospitality and tourism. Coursework is taught by SRHM faculty with expertise in resort, club, and cruise line management, guest experience, tourism development, and event planning. The curriculum also integrates essential analytical and decision-making skills needed to manage the full range of responsibilities within hospitality and tourism organizations, while keeping all content firmly rooted in a hospitality context. Students are not required to complete the Business Common Core.
- Includes 57 credit hours in hospitality-specific coursework with a wide range of electives in tourism, event planning, and guest experience.
- Students complete two 500-hour internships

Event Planning
Minor

The Event Planning minor introduces key concepts and essential knowledge for collaborating with event organizers, venues, caterers, and other industry partners, ensuring successful outcomes when planning and budgeting for a wide range of events.


Customer Experience Management
Minor
No matter your academic focus, cultivating a customer-focused organizational culture will be critical to your professional success. The Customer Experience Management minor introduces the fundamental principles essential to engaging customers across all industries. This program prepares students to create and maintain a customer-focused employee culture, which enhances customer satisfaction, fosters loyalty, and drives positive outcomes.


Club Management
Minor
Whether you want to explore career options in the Club industry, or plan to one day serve on the board of a private club, the Club Management minor will equip you with an overview of the club industry's inner workings. Students will gain exposure to best practices in the club industry, and the basics of food and beverage management, while still providing students the ability to explore areas of individual interest.
Internships
The internship and field experiences expose students to a different way of thinking and working and are an important bridge between the classroom experiences and a career in the resort and hospitality industry.
