Hospitality Internships

Experience Outside of the Classroom

Our internship program provides students with immersive, hands-on industry experience that bridges classroom learning with real-world careers in the resort and hospitality industry. Through these opportunities, students gain professional insight, develop industry connections and build the confidence and skills needed to thrive in a dynamic global marketplace.

The School of Resort & Hospitality Management has established partnerships with more than 300 premier industry organizations, including luxury resorts, hotels, private clubs, event companies, spas and food and beverage operations. These valued relationships create exceptional opportunities for students to learn from industry leaders and launch successful hospitality careers.

Internships Make Our Program Truly Special

RHA Degree Program students will build their resumes by completing 500 hours of industry experience prior to the 500 internship hours in their chosen area of hospitality interest. Internship sites are available at a variety of hospitality businesses. Mentoring opportunities are fostered through a vast network of industry partners.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

The most impactful part of the RHM program for me was my internship. I worked at Backwater Jacks in Bonita Springs where I was their Event Coordinator for almost two years. I learned how to create BEOs, work with stakeholders, how F&B is priced, how to plan menus, I ran week-in-review meetings and learned other transferrable skills that I still use to this day.”
