About the Event Series
The Dendritic Research Seminars & Webinars series creates regular space for academic exchange around artificial intelligence and data science. Sessions range from faculty presenting work in progress, to methodological deep dives, to briefings on funding opportunities and emerging topics that cut across disciplines.
The series is deliberately interdisciplinary. AI research at FGCU is happening everywhere, including engineering, business, health, education, the environmental sciences, and the humanities. The seminars exist to make that work visible to colleagues who would not otherwise encounter it and to turn those encounters into collaborations and proposals.

Format
Sessions formats:
Sessions typically pair a 30- to 40-minute presentation with open discussion. Formats vary: single-speaker seminars, panels, funding briefings, and works-in-progress sessions where feedback matters more than polish.
Frequency: upon demand
Duration: 60-90 minutes
Location: FGCU main campus or online

Present Your Work
The series depends on faculty and students willing to share what they are working on. We welcome proposals for:
- Research presentations, including work in progress
- Methodological or technical tutorials
- Panels on emerging or contested topics
- Briefings on funding programs and proposal strategy
