Graduation Checklist

Any Commencement information will be sent to your EagleMail email account. Please check your email for any updates, as well as the Commencement Homepage



Fall 2019 Checklist

  1. Meet with your advisor to review and verify degree requirements and complete the Application to Graduate on GULFLINE. 

  2. Applications to graduate for Fall 2019 must be submitted to GULFLINE starting December 15, 2018 but no later than April 15, 2019. If you fail to meet this critical deadline, you will not be allowed to graduate and register to walk at Fall Commencement on Sunday, December 15, 2019.

  3. Be sure to include your correct mailing address on your Application to Graduate.

  4. Make sure that you clear any financial holds on your account that will prevent you from receiving your diploma and transcripts. Holds can be viewed on GULFLINE.

  5. Complete the 'Exit Interview' through Financial Aid if you have received student loans.

  6. Complete and submit Service Learning hours by November 15, 2019 by 5 pm.

  7. Complete the "Fall 2019 Graduating Student Survey" which will be emailed to you (students eligible to graduate). 

  8. Once you have submitted your application via GULFLINE, you must register via GULFLINE to participate in the Fall 2019 Commencement and request tickets for your guests. RSVP will begin September 3 at 10 am and closes on September 23 at 5 pm.  

  9. When registering for Fall 2019 Commencement, you will be able to request tickets for guests to attend the ceremony. The number of allocated tickets is based on the graduating class. 

  10. Order your Commencement Cap and Gown through the University Bookstore. Last day to order cap and gown is October 25, 2019.
  11. Claim guest tickets on the Alico Arena Box Office website starting November 10th through November 24th. Tickets will be emailed on December 6th.  More details to follow.

  12.  The Office of Adaptive Services wishes to congratulate all students who are graduating this semester.  If you personally will need assistance for the commencement ceremony, please contact us at adaptive@fgcu.edu or call 239-590-7956 to advise us of your ceremony time and the accommodation(s) you need.

  13. No guest will be admitted to a Fall 2019 Commencement without a ticket.

  14. On commencement day visit the Center for Academic Achievement table in the candidate line-up area to complete a "Graduation Gram."  Take a few moments to thank a faculty or staff member who has helped you on your FGCU journey.

  15.  Please update your contact information so we can share information with you after graduation.

Spring 2020 Checklist

  2. Applications to graduate for Spring 2020 must be submitted to GULFLINE starting July 15, 2019 but no later than November 15, 2019. If you fail to meet this critical deadline, you will not be allowed to graduate and register to walk at Spring Commencement on Sunday, May 3rd (times TBD).

  3. Be sure to include your correct mailing address on your Application to Graduate.

  4. Make sure that you clear any financial holds on your account that will prevent you from receiving your diploma and transcripts. Holds can be viewed on GULFLINE.
