New Teaching & Learning Resources and Funding Support
August 14, 2025
The Lucas Center for Faculty Development is committed to helping faculty grow as innovative, learner-centered, and research-based educators. That’s why we’re especially excited to share a timely update from our friends at Kennesaw State University’s (KSU) Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) and to highlight how it aligns with our recently revamped Teaching Enhancement Awards.
The Kennesaw State CETL’s Teaching Journals and Conference Directory have both been updated with a new look and better functionality, including a search bar and a list of the disciplines and topics that are used for tagging. Whether you’re just starting to explore the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) or are already presenting your findings at SoTL conferences, we encourage you to bookmark these resources.
Connect the Resource to Funding: Apply for a Teaching Enhancement Award
To better align our allocation of resources with the mission of the Lucas Center, last year we refocused our funding for faculty from Professional Development Awards to Teaching Enhancement Awards. This shifted the award focus to supporting faculty who want to participate in workshops on specific teaching strategies to support student learning, attend a teaching conference to generate new ideas and present results of a SoTL project at a pedagogy conference.
We recommend you utilize the KSU CETL resources as a starting point to explore teaching and learning specific conferences. From there, you can apply for funding through the Teaching Enhancement Award process to bring your plans to life. The Lucas Center offers Teaching Enhancement Awards throughout the year, please see the below dates for when applications open and close. Click here to submit an application for the Fall Cycle!
