How to join the Honors College
Whether you are an incoming freshman, a current student or a transfer student, we welcome you to join our community of dedicated, high-achieving scholars.
Admission to Honors is on an invitation-only basis. Incoming new freshmen and transfer students are automatically considered for Honors eligibility based on the information provided when applying for admission to FGCU. Refer to Undergraduate Admissions for more information on the FGCU application process. Current students are automatically considered for eligibility based on their cumulative GPA and completed credit hours as of the semester prior to invitation. More details on the admission criteria and application process for each type of student are below.
First-Time-In-College Students (FTIC): to be considered for admission to the Honors College, students must first be admitted to FGCU.
