Academic Engagement

A Partnership, and so Much More

The Academic Engagement unit fosters student success through programs and services that support the academic mission of the institution, while playing a role in helping the university to achieve preeminence through meeting the goals outlined in our University’s Strategic Plan.

Led by Dr. Eric Tack, Academic Engagement units implement intentional programs and services from orientation through graduation to support student success. Being a first-time college student is a great learning experience and a wonderful opportunity for students to grow and set goals for their future college careers ahead. I have been able to make many connections in college with my professors, students, and professional staff that have helped me to become the driven leader that I am today. In college I have changed my mind many times and had failures along the way, but throughout any situation I have been able to lean on the many resources at FGCU and especially the CAA.
