The start of a new academic year brings excitement and transitions. For freshmen and returning students, navigating courses, majors, and opportunities can be overwhelming. FGCU’s academic advisors are instrumental and strategic partners in each student’s academic journey; they help remove barriers and obstacles that can thwart student progress.

Whether students have declared majors or are exploring disciplines, advisors explore the many academic, social, and co-curricular opportunities available to them—such as research groups and student organizations—to help them make informed decisions about their aspirations and expand their academic path.
