Digital Accessibility

Digital accessibility ensures Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance with all digital forms of communication, including websites, social media pages, phone apps, and Library Resources.  FGCU is committed to ensuring that all individuals who learn, work and visit its campus can fully participate in all of the programs, and services, offered.

The ADA, as amended, recently updated their Title II regulations related to digital media ADA Web Rule  These regulations require all Title II institutions to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA by April 2026.  While much of the content currently displayed on FGCU’s digital media is ADA compliant, it is important to make ourselves aware of the new regulations and regularly comply as we modify our information and practices.
