All content must be accessible by April 2026.  However, as you are creating material and reviewing current material, you should be ensuring that they are accessible, even if it is before April 2026.

Archived material can be considered an exception to the updated regulations. If content is old and no longer being used, you should dispose of it. 

Yes!  All links that are used in any content must be accessible.  If a third party link is chosen that  is not accessible, it is the faculty/staff member’s responsibility to provide an accessible alternative.

Yes!  The updated regulations involve public facing resources and are required for ALL digital media.  It is essential that all documents are accessible, even if no one internally is requesting an accommodation.

Digital Learning, ITS and Marketing and Web Services have multiple resources for you to use to ensure your content is accessible.  Kaltura, ALLY, Adobe Acrobat Suite and Userway are just a few of the resources that are available for use.  You can also attend relevant trainings that are routinely offered. 

All content must be accessible by April 2024.  If you are unable to meet the updates by the timeline, then an accessible alternative will be required.  You may also be unable to post your materials until it is.  This includes posts to websites, Canvas, social media, apps and marketing materials.  It is highly recommended that you work with supporting offices to ensure that your content is accessible prior to posting.
