June 17th-21st 2019 Registration begins January 15th through March 15th

The applications submitted after March 15th, the deadline date, will be added to a waiting list. If a waitlist applicant is allowed to attend the camp, the applicant must pay full price. If a cancellation happens and a spot becomes available, applicants will be contacted on a first come first serve basis.

EduCamp is the place to learn what inspires you. Students who participate will experience a week long overnight camp on the FGCU campus in beautiful Fort Myers, FL. Students will experience building lesson plans and working with local students. The crucial information shared in STEM, art, and technology integration will give students a great foundation for a career in education.

Students will get an opportunity to learn while getting the full FGCU effect in our luxury student housing with resort style pool and lounge areas.  Experience a backstage pass to the life of a college student.

EduCamp is a week long experience into the teaching profession. The camp is designed to help students understand the teaching profession and will assist students with lesson plan development and the opportunity to bring their plans to life.


Experience the FGCU Effect in beautiful Southwest Florida. Florida Gulf Coast University campus boasts luxury housing and a resort lifestyle. We welcome EduCamp students to live in our South Village (Sovi) residence halls and have access to the resort style pool, and all you can eat buffet style dinning just steps away from your home away from home. All students will stay on campus and will be assigned roommates. Students will not be able to choose their own roommates.

Explore the rewarding profession as an educator, and get a chance to inspire students by putting into practice what you have learned during the camp. You will have the opportunity to meet local students and teach them a lesson that you prepared. See your ideas and creativity come to life while you practice what you teach!

Interested students can apply between January 15th and March 15th to participate in EduCamp. The College of Education has a limited number of scholarships for students in need. If you are applying EduCamp and are in need of a scholarship to attend, please indicate that information on your application. Additional information may be required and requested

*All Fees above are direct costs to facilitate the camp. All interested students who apply before March 15, 2019 will considered for a camp fee reduction and selected student will be notified by March 30, 2019.

How To Pack

Students will need to bring any and all items needed to stay on campus for four nights and five days. FGCU housing is not a hotel, and will not provide all the comforts of home.
