As the region's only comprehensive university, FGCU's College of Education (COE) prepares graduates for a wide range of careers from traditional Pre K-20 education to corporate and non-profit, as well as informal learning environments. We offer programs in elementary and secondary education including special education, child & youth studies, instructional design, leadership, and school counseling.
FGCU R.I.S.E.
FGCU's FGCU R.I.S.E. is Southwest Florida’s first university program for adults with intellectual disabilities. This life-changing program benefits participants, the Southwest Florida workforce and all those who engage with R.I.S.E. students.
FGCU High School Teaching Academy
Program Overview:
The FGCU Teaching Academy is designed to actively recruit students beginning at 9th grade into the education profession, supporting prospective teaching candidates throughout high school and into the College of Education Teacher Education Program.
