Artificial intelligence is reshaping how we teach, conduct research, lead organizations, develop solutions, and serve communities. The 2026 FGCU AI Summer Academy offers a structured, in-depth program designed to help participants move beyond experimentation toward meaningful, responsible implementation. Dedicated to advancing practical and strategic uses of AI across education, research, business, industry, and public service, the Academy integrates conceptual foundations, applied practice, and strategic reflection, all grounded in FGCU’s commitment to Human-Centered AI.

Program Structure
Through a combination of intensive trainings, focused workshops, and insightful webinars, participants will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in AI and data science.
Each training runs for 8-10 hours over the span of two or five consecutive days, providing in-depth exploration of specific topics. These intensive learning experiences combine theoretical foundations with practical applications, allowing participants to develop comprehensive understanding and skills.
Single-day workshops offering hands-on experience in specific applications of AI and data science. These concentrated sessions provide practical skills and immediate applicable knowledge in specialized areas.
Expert webinars will complement the hands-on components, providing insights into key concepts and emerging trends. These live online sessions offer opportunities for engagement, discussion, and learning from anywhere.
