Secure PC Opt Out Request
Secure PC is FGCU's program that enables users to have their computer managed more closely by FGCU. This program ensures that computers stay up to date and secure by centrally managing installed software applications. By removing administrative rights from the day to day users of the computers, the computers are protected against downtime caused by malicious software, or accidental changes.
Faculty may opt out of this processes and be granted administrative rights on their computer, but must exercise due care with the daily use of their computers and follow to the FGCU's Technology Acceptable Use Policy and Procedure, as well as FGCU's Restricted Data Policy .
This form is required to initiate the request to opt out of Secure PC program for faculty members. Submission of this form does not guarantee approval. This request will be processed within 5 business days. FGCU faculty members are the only ones eligible.
