Florida Gulf Coast University Testing Center
The Testing Center supports the Mission and Guiding Principles of Florida Gulf Coast University through service to the students, faculty and community. Services are provided with dedication to the Professional Standards and Guidelines for Post-Secondary Test Centers through membership in the National College Testing Association (NCTA), membership in the Florida Association of College Test Administrators (FACTA), and participation in the Consortium of College Testing Centers (CCTC).
The student is our primary focus within an environment of security and confidentiality. Through the programs and services offered by the Testing Center, we strive to support and enhance a student’s formal education with a spirit that moves the student toward a successful future.
Policy For Providing On Campus Test Services
The Florida Gulf Coast University Testing Center, as part of its Mission Statement, is committed to providing services to students, faculty and community. Information on fees charged by the Testing Center can be found on the specific exam links on our website. A list of those fees is also available upon request.
As an auxiliary unit, the Testing Center charges fees for our services. A listing of fees is posted in the Testing Center lobby, and available upon request from the Testing Center.
Requests for service must be directed to the Testing Center Director for approval at his/her discretion.
*Items Not Permitted in the Testing Lab*
*YOU MAY NOT CARRY AN ITEM OF CLOTHING (SUCH AS SWEATERS, HOODIES OR JACKETS) INTO THE TESTING LAB. THEY MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES OR STORED IN A LOCKER. ITEMS OF CLOTHING ARE SUBJECT TO BEING SEARCHED.
Exceptions are made for items permitted for specific tests. The Testing Director has the right to refuse admission to the testing lab for any reason deemed as a possible violation of security or as a possible disruption to other examinees.
If you will be requesting ADA accommodations for your testing needs, please contact the Testing Center prior to completing any registrations for instructions on how to proceed, in order to determine reasonable accommodations the Testing Center can provide.
