How Can You Get Involved With Micro-Credentials/Digital Badges at FGCU?

with Kristen Vanselow, Assistant Vice President, Innovative Education & Partnerships; Dr. Glenn Whitehouse, Director, Core Skills; Dr. Andrea Fortin, Visiting Assistant Professor & Coordinator Faculty Digital Badges & Micro-Credentials; Tifarah Pardue, Coordinator, Continuing Education & Skills Academy

In this interactive presentation and Q&A, you will learn more about FGCU’s badge and micro-credential initiative FGCU Digital Badges. Find out how you can support students as they earn digital badges, and how you could get involved in paid opportunities to develop and/or teach a micro-credential! As a complement or “AND” to our already excellent academic programs, FGCU also offers a variety of micro-credentials that result in a digital badge. FGCU Digital Badges are developed using the expertise of FGCU faculty, informed by partnerships with local employers. In this presentation you'll learn about the three types of micro-credentials FGCU offers: Industry Specific, Transferable Skills, and Continuing Education and Skills Academy. These opportunities support students to become exemplary job candidates as they look toward their future careers. The Department of Innovative Education and Partnerships invites all faculty to get involved with FGCU Digital Badges!
