Introduction to Active Learning in STEM Courses
The Lucas Center for Faculty Development invites you to:
Introduction to Active Learning in STEM Courses
Facilitated by Lucas Fellow, Jessica Phillips Marcolini and Katie Johnson
Generally defined as any instructional method that engages students in the learning process, active learning asks students to engage in their learning by thinking, discussing, investigating, and creating. In this introduction to active learning session participants will reflect on their own practices to identify areas in which active learning could be used, and identifying strategies already being used that can be built upon.
This session will be facilitated on Tuesday, February 28th from 2:30p-4:00p in the Lucas Center (LIB-221).
